Google Has The Final Answer...

Google is shutting down it's human powered search solution, Google Answers, later this week. After 4 years of providing human answered responses to search queries, Google decided it was time to pull the plug. Google Answers, which required users to bid and pay for their answers, found that traffic and usage had fallen to an all time low with bids for answers now at $1.27 - down from $1.93 a year ago. The service had a staff of 800 part time researchers who provided answers through the website.

Undoubtedly a smart move on Goggles part, as the demand for this service just didn't pan out, and that's unlikely to change in the future as more people become Internet savvy.

Who really wants to pay for someone to do the search for you anyway? No surprise here really..
